About this reel

Built upon the formidable foundations of the Saltiga, the Daiwa 24 Certate SW 6000-XH is meticulously tailored for New Zealand's rugged coastal environments. Boasting a rigid one-piece aluminium monocoque (MQ) body and a lightweight Zaion Airdrive Rotor, this reel provides unmatched winding power and long-term durability. Perfectly tuned for casting a stickbait at aggressive Kingfish or deploying heavy baits for trophy Snapper, it delivers a high-speed retrieval to quickly clear slack and maintain constant pressure on hard-fighting pelagics.

  • Airdrive Design – Decreases winding resistance and reduces the weight of the front unit for precise lure control.
  • Aluminium Monocoque Body – A one-piece frame that eliminates flex and twisting while providing superior weather sealing against saltwater.
  • Zaion Airdrive Rotor – Significantly lightens the rotor for immediate rotation response and enhanced sensitivity during retrieval.
  • Magsealed Technology – A magnetised oil seal on the main shaft protects the internal engine room from salt, dust, and water intrusion.
  • ATD Drag System – Delivers a smooth 15kg of drag from the initial hook-up to prevent line breakages during intense runs.
  • G1 Duralumin Drive Gear – Oversized machine-cut gearing ensures maximum power, strength, and reliability under heavy loads.
  • Extra High-Speed Ratio – Features a 6.2:1 ratio for blistering line pickup, ideal for fast-moving topwater presentations.
