About this lure
The Micro Meat Hybrid is a downsized version of the popular Bottom Meat, designed for smaller inshore species from boat or shore. Built with super strong BKK hooks and a mix of glow/UV flash fibre and rubber, it’s deadly fished baited or unbaited.
- Dual use: fish it solo, or as a “fish catching sinker” on the bottom of a paternoster rig. In testing, it regularly out-fished the dropper hook.
- Flexible presentation: add small strips of squid or fish for whiting, bream, flathead and inshore snapper, or run it bare as a micro Tai Rubber-style jig.
- Tactics: cast and twitch around structure, hop across sand flats, or drop and jig offshore in depths up to 100m.
Available from 5g to 130g, the Micro Meat Hybrid gives you two prime fish catchers on the seafloor — with or without bait.
To bait, or not to bait? That’s up to you.

Which weight, and when
5 g
For shallow inshore casting and slow twitching around structure and sand flats in calm, low-current conditions.
10 g
Light shallow work from boat or shore, giving a slower sink for finicky inshore species.
15 g
A general shallow-to-mid option for casting and hopping across the flats.
20 g
Suits slightly deeper water or light current where you still want a controlled sink.
30 g
Reaches the bottom 30m zone and holds better against moderate current.
35 g
For deeper drops and firmer current where a heavier head keeps contact with the bottom.
40 g
Good for offshore jigging in deeper water with some tide running.
60 g
Punches down through current to reach and hold deeper bottom structure.
80 g
For deep water and strong current where you need a fast, direct descent.
100 g
Suits jigging near the 100m limit or heavy current to stay on the bottom.
130 g
The heaviest option for the deepest drops and strongest tide, ensuring a quick fall and solid bottom contact.
