About this product

XBRAID – Upgrade X8 Pentagram is a premium 8-strand PE braid engineered in Japan for anglers who demand maximum strength, sensitivity, and line control. Built using YGK’s advanced WX braiding technology and Ultra 2 PE fibres, it delivers ultra-low stretch, a tight line body, and exceptional durability for both inshore and offshore fishing.

  • Ultra 2 PE fibres – Approximately 40% higher maximum strength than standard spectra braids
  • YGK WX braiding technology – Ultra-tight weave for minimal stretch and superior sensitivity
  • 8-strand construction – Smooth, round profile for long casting and quiet guide travel
  • Hard-coated finish – Resists abrasion, tangles, and water absorption
  • Pentagram colour system – Five colours with 20cm marks every 2mtrs for precise depth control
  • Versatile PE range – Ideal for softbaiting, slow jigging, micro jigging, and light jig work

X-Braid all the way. You can feel the lure hit the bottom and when the fish bite. I reakon it's perfect for light gear.

XBRAID - UPGRADE X8 PENTAGRAM

Great line. I've been using this line for ultralight fishing for bream and flathead here in East Gippsland, Victoria, Australia for a couple of years. It's hard to get the pentagram upgrade in #0.4 10lb here in Australia, #0.6 14lb is what I get locally. The #0.4 is super thin and I put it on an Airity LT3000 and an 8ft inch yamaga. I finally used it yesterday and the super fine line helps cast a long way with the 3000 reel, brilliant tossing lures on the flats. Monster Fishing were great but the parcel sat a long time at the airport in NZ. I'll be buying more from this store in the future.

XBRAID - UPGRADE X8 PENTAGRAM

My new go too braid now. Its thin, durable and has a high breaking strain in comparison to competitors. Have it on all my lure rods and it does make a huge difference when it comes to sensitivity and cast distance. Will be back for more. A++
