About this lure
The Tide Minnow Lance 160S is a 160mm, 28g sinking minnow designed to cover water with long casts and a stable, lifelike action. Its tungsten moving weight system gives it excellent aerodynamics, letting you punch into headwinds and still maintain control.
Swimming in the 0.5–1.5m range, it delivers a perfectly balanced wobble-and-roll action whether burned back fast or worked with a slower, more deliberate retrieve. The 160S excels when predators are chasing larger baitfish such as anchovies, saury, or pilchards.
In New Zealand, it’s highly effective on kingfish hunting bait schools, kahawai smashing surface bait, and trevally feeding in current lines. Its versatility makes it a go-to lure for both inshore and offshore casting.
